Brent, Wayne, and I are in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania meeting with our 21 African leaders. One of the purposes of our visit is to ensure that we implement the appropriate structure to ensure that we maintain the right accountability and integrity that we had before our recent (last few years) expansion.
All of these men are wise and mature Christian leaders. I am humbled to think that I would have anything to offer them in advice, teaching, or counsel. It occurred to me today that we are meeting with some of the great Generals in the spiritual battle for the sons of men.
God’s history will reveal the significance of their lives and the ongoing impact they are making in this war. We remember specific battles that occur in war - the heroes, and those that exhibited great courage are remembered. We record earthly physical wars as happening over a period of time with a beginning and an end. Everything is measured.
In the timeline of eternity, we are taking our places in the battle. And when Jesus returns and everything is as it should be with every knee bowing and every tongue confessing He is Lord, we will look back at the battle for Africa and know that this time mattered and these men fought well.
I am honored to labor alongside them.
