Message from Jimmy On the Name Change
In
2007 alone, Reaching Souls saw 761,910 salvation
decisions! Praise the Lord! The Lord is moving
through Reaching Souls International. He is using
efforts such as Children In Need and our faithful
National Missionaries to Change Nations.
Our goal is big. We have set out to change nations.
Fortunately we serve a very big God, and nothing is
impossible for Him.
Because we serve a big God, we can be ambitious. As
Paul stated in 2 Corinthians 5:20, we are Christ's
ambassadors. We are called to go to the entire world
and disciple all men. These are not small ideas.
These are not humble goals. Certainly we are humble
servants of Jesus Christ, but our ideas are big and
our goals are lofty because we serve a God who has
the biggest ideas and the loftiest goals.
The stakes are incredibly high. Over 20,000 people
will die today in India, and the large majority will
have never heard the name of Jesus Christ. Nearly
30,000 people will die today in Africa, the large
majority of them will not be spending eternity with
Jesus Christ. We cannot afford to have small dreams.
Christ commands us to reach the world, and people
are dying daily without knowing Him. We must take on
the big tasks in order to fulfill our duties as
Christians.
Changing nations is the goal, but this is not about
politics. There is only one way to truly change a
nation, and that is by changing the hearts of the
people that live in that nation. This is done on a
heart to heart basis, sharing the Gospel with
individuals, leading them to Christ, and then discipling them so they can disciple others.
This ministry has been doing exactly that for over
20 years with incredible blessing from the Lord.
This blessing has shown us that we are doing His
will in His way, and we know He is calling this
ministry to take the vision to another level.
Over the next weeks, months and years, we will be
giving you insight into how the Lord is changing
nations through people like you who partner with
Reaching Souls International. Together, we are
reaching a generation of children who have been
abandoned or lost their parents to disease and war.
Together, we are putting National Missionaries into
the field. These men are taking the tools provided
by you and using them in innovative ways to bring
the Gospel to their own nations.
Together, we can change nations. We have this
opportunity because we are doing the Lord's work
with the Lord's blessing. There is no more exciting
place to be than doing Christ's work, through
Christ's power, and with Christ's blessing.
Join us in investing in the souls of men. Join us in
fulfilling the Great Commission. Join as we seek to
accomplish big goals for Jesus Christ, one person at
a time.
