HELP US SUPPORT THE CHURCH IN
AFRICA BY PROVIDING ROOFS FOR NEEDY CHURCHES
 Another
church wall collapses.
During the dry season the Sun beats down baking the
ground to a brittle crisp. And when the rains do
come, the effects become devastating for many
churches. The mud buildings can’t withstand the
pouring rain. The water dissolves and drags the
walls down. Most African
churches do not have roofs.
Churches are being built at an unprecedented rate
due to the tens of thousands of salvations we are
experiencing in Africa. The members of the church
give their time and effort to make thousands of hand
made bricks to build the walls of their church
building. However, since the roofs are the most
costly
of the
building process, the
construction stops, and the roofs never get put on.
These new believers are mostly
surviving by growing their own food in small
gardens. They almost never have cash to buy
essentials. The cost of putting the metal sheets
and timber on their church is completely beyond
their reach.
The average cost of putting a church roof on with 40
metal sheets, timber and nails is $953.00. Other
friends of Reaching Souls International have
committed $25,000 to be used as a matching fund.
Once an additional $25,000 is given towards the
match, $50,000 will be invested in 52 new roofs. It
will be a great encouragement to the new
believers!
A
new roof means the church will still be standing
after the rains - year after year. You can give any
amount to be part of completing 52 churches in the
nations of Malawi, Zambia, Tanzania, Uganda and
Kenya.

of these congregations and you’ll provide shade from
the blinding Sun and shelter from the pouring rain.
