We visited the Silaloni Village on the 3rd and left on the 7th as planned. The place has been mostly affected by the Muslim faith and a big number of the people whom we went preaching to said that they were Muslims although most of these do not know what Muslim Religion is all about. However, we had a total of 293 people getting saved and a new Church known as Silaloni Baptist Church was started.
The first worship service was on the 7th and 30 people attended the service which started under a tree. The person who will be in charge of this Church as from now on is Jonathan. Jonathan lives more than 20 Kms away from the Church and will be walking every now and then to take care of the new believers.
Apart from that there are some testimonies
1. A lady was witnessed to on the first day and said that she was not ready to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior because she was a muslim. When we visited her home the next day said that she was in need of Jesus and therefore received Jesus as her Savior.
2.A family of Mgalla who was once a church member and then joined the muslim faith got saved. Mgalla was a church member and a good musician. This man later on stopped going to Church and joined the muslim religion because he thought that no one in that Church cared for him. When he heard the gospel, he accepted Jesus together with his wife Sadaka and their two sons.
3. A Muslim lady known as Fatma was fearing to receive Jesus because she thought that she could be killed later on was ready to accept Jesus. Fatma has been having an eye sight problem for many years and has been given medicine by the muslims but has had no improvement or healing. When she heard the gospel, she at first resisted but later said because I have seen many people getting saved and getting healed, I am ready to receive Jesus and I know for sure that the Lord will heal me and even if not, I am sure of eternal life after this life.
4. The residents of Silaloni have never had rains since the beginning of this year. Therefore, after sharing the gospel in one home and 6 people receiving Jesus in that home, they asked us if we could pray for the rains to our God. So we prayed for the rains and before we left the area, it rained for almost one hour. This happened very early in the morning on the forth day that being on Saturday.
